UAB St. Vincent’s East has introduced robotic bronchoscopy technology, which supports earlier, more precise detection of lung cancer. This minimally invasive system allows physicians to more safely biopsy small lung nodules that previously were difficult to reach. Earlier diagnosis can improve outcomes for patients facing one of the leading causes of cancer death in the U.S.
