    Poe named UAB’s first chief nursing executive

    Following a competitive national search, Terri Poe, DNP, RN, NE-BC, was selected as the first chief nursing executive for UAB Health System, effective Jan. 1. In this new systemwide role, she will focus on advancing nursing practice across UAB Medicine. Poe will align practice standards, support professional development, and strengthen care delivery teams.

    Lace up for Birmingham Heart Walk 2026

    The 2026 Birmingham Heart Walk will be held Saturday, March 14, at Railroad Park. The event brings the community together to promote heart-healthy living and support lifesaving research. UAB Medicine employees, family, and friends are invited to join a UAB team to help reach this year’s fundraising goals. Registration is free, and a donation is not required to walk.

    Heart Walk T-shirt reminder
